(It won&#8217;t be\u00a0until 2 days later when we have the current behind us giving us a speed of over 7 mph with low RPMs that he finally is comfortable that there are no other issues.)<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-979 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030169-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"p1030169\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030169-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030169-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030169-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thunderstorms were predicted for this afternoon and we hoped to be arriving at Halifax Harbor Marina in Daytona Beach by 1500 to be safely tied before the storms.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-981 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030171-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"p1030171\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030171-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030171-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030171-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>We were greeted to the marina by two dolphins playing in the entrance near the fuel dock. \u00a0 After fueling and pumping out we made our way to our assigned slip and found ourselves docked next to another Gozzard cousin.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-982 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030172-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"p1030172\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030172-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030172-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030172-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>This older G36 model was a\u00a0predecessor to our G37. \u00a0We never saw anyone on this boat, but did compare the differences between the models over the years. \u00a0Back then they had a lot more teak to maintain, including\u00a0a wooden taff rail and handholds.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-980 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030170-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"p1030170\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030170-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030170-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/P1030170-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>We had decided to stay in Daytona Beach for 2 nights due to the forecast for Tuesday\u00a0being major thunderstorms. \u00a0The forecasters were right again, and we were glad to be tied to the dock, kept dry in the cockpit with\u00a0\u00a0our enclosure and not on the Waterway during the storm.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>5 &amp;
