{"id":149,"date":"2015-10-27T21:50:31","date_gmt":"2015-10-27T21:50:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/?p=149"},"modified":"2015-10-27T21:50:31","modified_gmt":"2015-10-27T21:50:31","slug":"our-first-dolphins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/?p=149","title":{"rendered":"Our first dolphins!!!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/dolphin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-150\" src=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/dolphin-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"dolphin\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/dolphin-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/dolphin-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As Bob was carefully navigating over a shallow bar in the middle of the Bay I saw what I thought was a fin.\u00a0 Sure enough it was a dolphin.\u00a0 Followed by another and then a pod made their presence known.<\/p>\n<p>What could have been a totally dreary day of motoring to Deltaville,\u00a0VA (where we are are now docked), \u00a0with overcast and rainy skies and little wind anywhere we wanted it, turned into a magical experience.\u00a0 There were a few that kept coming back to swim alongside and at our bow. \u00a0(But with the weather we were kept in the cockpit.)<\/p>\n<p>I hope that we never tire of seeing these magnificent creatures.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note to self:\u00a0 Dolphins are very hard to capture with the camera.\u00a0 They are constantly moving and by the time you see them, and get your camera up, they are below the water again\u2026. so after several attempts and only capturing the water where they had been, I put the camera down and just watched with glee. \u00a0Above is the best photo of the day. \u00a0I hope for better in\u00a0the future. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As Bob was carefully navigating over a shallow bar in the middle of the Bay I saw what I thought was a fin.\u00a0 Sure enough it was a dolphin.\u00a0 Followed by another and then a pod made their presence known.
