Morehead City, NC<\/p>\n<p>We are still in Morehead City, NC and waiting for good weather to go offshore. \u00a0We had planned for a Sunday departure, but all the weather models finally converged on unfavorable conditions. \u00a0The wind howled over the weekend, and last night steady rain was added to the mix\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow is looking good for our planned 24 hour passage to Bald Head Island, NC (near Southport) so hopefully the next post will be written from there.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, we have watched and helped a number of different boats come and go to this\u00a0marina. \u00a0Today we just helped an old Bayfield 32 (Hull # 71) dock in the slip next to ours.<\/p>\n<p>Bayfields were designed by Ted Gozzard before he sold his interest in 1981\u00a0and started his own company building Gozzard Yachts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030103.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-907 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030103-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"p1030103\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030103-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030103-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030103-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-908\" src=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030104-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"p1030104\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030104-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030104-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/dreamtime-sailing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/P1030104-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can still see many similarities in the design particulars the Gozzard yacht still includes, such as the scroll work and clipper bow that makes the Gozzard such a distinctive boat.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s good to know Ted&#8217;s\u00a0earlier designs have held up well and have\u00a0stood the test of time. \u00a0This bodes well for Dreamtime to carry us safely into the future.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>14 November, 2016 &#8211;
